The Story

The project focused on improving the performance and user experience of the client’s platform, specifically the dashboard functionality. Users experienced lag when working with dashboards containing more than 10 charts, especially when using drag-and-drop features or resizing components. Our team was tasked with enhancing rendering performance and overhauling the UI to accommodate new Figma designs, including adding new features within chart components.

Our client is a SaaS platform specializing in sustainability management, offering automated data collection, processing, and visualization solutions to help companies streamline data handling and accelerate their journey towards sustainability.

The challenge

The solution

We performed a complete overhaul of the platform, introducing a modular architecture for future integration and micro frontends. A new grid view design simplified the alignment of widgets, making dashboard customization more intuitive. Enhanced chart settings allowed for new features like treemaps, donut charts, and a theme color selector. We also migrated to a modern tech stack (Node.js, Angular v14, Firebase, AWS) for better performance, scalability, and compatibility, while ensuring a seamless user experience in line with Figma’s UI/UX guidelines.

The outcome

The platform now boasts improved performance, scalability, and a more intuitive user experience. The new modular design supports micro frontends and future updates, while the upgraded dashboard allows for easy customization with new chart features and settings. These enhancements ensure the platform is more adaptable, ready to handle more complex user demands, and provides a future-proof solution for growing businesses.
