Balancing Motherhood and Career with Strength
This Mother's Day, we celebrate the women at FiftyFive who manage professional responsibilities and family life with grace, courage, and quiet determination.
Two important worlds
Working mothers carry professional responsibilities alongside care, routines, family needs, and countless moments that often go unseen.
Builds confidence
Understanding colleagues, supportive teams, and work-from-home flexibility help mothers grow professionally while remaining present for their families.
Motherhood is one of the most beautiful roles a woman can experience, but when it comes together with a professional journey, it becomes a story of strength, patience, resilience, and quiet determination.
Working mothers carry two worlds with them every day. One is filled with meetings, deadlines, projects, teams, and responsibilities. The other is filled with care, love, routines, school updates, family needs, and countless little moments that often go unseen.
Through their personal experiences, the mothers at FiftyFive share their challenges, support systems, and the small moments that help them grow at work while being present for their families.
Kavita Sharma Sahai
At FiftyFive, Kavita leads the Data and AI practices, bringing experience, vision, and leadership to a fast-evolving technology space. For Kavita, motherhood has always been the most important and fulfilling part of her life.
As a mother of two children, her priority was to give them the right upbringing and remain actively present during their growing years. She dedicated a significant part of her time to raising them while continuing to carry her professional aspirations within her.
Last year, when both her children left home to pursue their own journeys, Kavita felt it was the right time to restart her career after an eight-year break. Returning after such a long gap was exciting and challenging, especially in technology, where the industry changes rapidly.
Her journey is a reminder that career breaks do not define capability. With the right opportunity, mindset, and support, women can restart their careers with confidence.
Today, I am happy to be rebuilding my career, learning new things, and adapting to current industry requirements while continuing to cherish my role as a mother. I sincerely thank FiftyFive Technologies for creating a supportive environment that empowers working mothers like me to grow personally and professionally.
Aakshi Mittal
As a Data Scientist, Aakshi works in a role that requires focus, problem-solving, and continuous learning. Alongside this, she experiences motherhood as a journey filled with both challenges and rewards.
For Aakshi, being a working mom is beautiful, but it is not always easy. There are days when work responsibilities and motherhood both need attention at the same time.
She values the small gestures that make a big difference. A moment of warmth from colleagues during calls, understanding from the team, or a little flexibility on a busy day can make her feel supported and seen. These acts help working mothers manage their day with more confidence.
Thankful to be with a company that genuinely supports and encourages working mothers every step of the way.
Bhanupriya
Bhanupriya works as a Senior Software Engineer at FiftyFive, contributing to technical delivery while navigating the early stages of motherhood. As a new mom, her journey reflects the importance of flexibility and a supportive work culture.
With a newborn to care for, balancing work and motherhood came with its own challenges, and adapting to this new routine was not always easy.
For me, the biggest support was the work-from-home flexibility. Because of that, I am able to manage my personal and professional life much more effectively. The supportive work culture and understanding team also make a big difference. It helps knowing that the company values work-life balance and creates an environment where working moms can continue to grow professionally while taking care of their families.
Shivani Pandey
As a Technical Lead at FiftyFive, Shivani Pandey handles responsibilities that require ownership, decision-making, and team coordination.
For Shivani, being a working mom is never perfectly “balanced” in the way people often imagine. Some days go smoothly, while others bring unexpected situations at home. What has made a real difference is being at FiftyFive, where she does not feel pressured to constantly choose between being a mother and doing her job well.
The work-from-home option, flexibility, and support from her team help her manage things naturally. If something comes up at home, she does not have to carry additional stress or guilt. Her team has her back, and that trust allows her to focus better on both responsibilities.
What I love most is that no one here makes you feel like motherhood is something you have to hide or apologize for. It is simply part of who you are, and that is okay. I am genuinely thankful to be in a place that understands this. Working moms need that more than anything else.
Kanchan Sharma
As a Senior Software Tester, Kanchan Sharma plays an important role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the work delivered at FiftyFive.
Kanchan believes that being a working mom comes with its own challenges, especially when balancing professional responsibilities and family life. For her, work-from-home flexibility has been one of the biggest reasons she has been able to continue and grow in her role.
This flexibility allows her to be present for her children while staying productive and committed to her work.
I am genuinely grateful to be part of a workplace that empowers working mothers and makes it possible for us to succeed both at work and at home.
Saloni Agarwal
Saloni Agarwal works as a Senior Software Engineer at FiftyFive, managing technical responsibilities while embracing the everyday learnings of motherhood.
For Saloni, being a working mom is a journey of balancing responsibilities, emotions, and priorities every day. Managing work while being a mother is not always easy, as each day brings its own challenges to navigate.
Motherhood has taught me patience, adaptability, and the ability to handle challenges with a positive mindset—qualities that also help me in my professional journey every day.
She is grateful to be part of a workplace that supports flexibility and creates an environment where working moms can grow professionally without compromising family responsibilities. Understanding, team support, and work-life balance make a meaningful difference and help her manage both roles with confidence.
Divya Chouhan
Divya, a Senior Software Engineer at FiftyFive, describes work and motherhood as a journey of balancing responsibilities.
She believes that balancing a career alongside motherhood comes with constant adjustments and responsibilities that are not always easy to manage.
Having the option to work from home has helped me manage both responsibilities better. It gives me the space to remain productive at work while also being available for my family when needed.
Celebrating the Mothers Who Inspire Us Every Day
Balancing both roles is never as simple as it looks from the outside. Some days feel perfectly managed, while others demand extra patience, flexibility, and emotional strength. Yet working mothers continue to show up with dedication, both at home and at work.
The stories of working mothers at FiftyFive are filled with honesty, strength, and quiet courage. Each journey is different.
