Blockchain-powered platform enabling journalist verification, article authentication, and gas-free transactions for secure, transparent, and decentralized digital publishing.
With misinformation on the rise, verifying the authenticity of news and its authors became a critical challenge. The client wanted to create a seamless platform integrating blockchain, NFC-based biometric verification, and real-time authentication. This would enable journalists to verify their identity securely and allow readers to confirm article credibility effortlessly across iOS, Android, and web platforms.
A media technology company focused on combating misinformation by creating a blockchain-powered platform that verifies journalists and authenticates articles, ensuring trust, transparency, and security in digital publishing across multiple platforms.

> Building a scalable backend for secure real-time data retrieval.
> Ensuring a seamless user experience across Android, iOS, and web.
> Protecting sensitive biometric and identity data from potential threats.
> Managing blockchain transactions without requiring journalists to pay gas fees.
The MVP was built using Flutter for a unified front-end and Solidity for blockchain smart contracts. NFC passport reading enabled biometric-based journalist verification, while blockchain ensured articles were cryptographically signed and stored securely. A QR code system allowed instant content authentication. A meta-transaction model enabled gas-free interactions, with a client-funded wallet handling blockchain transaction fees. The backend, hosted on AWS EC2 with MongoDB, ensured real-time verification, while Web3.js and API integrations facilitated smooth functionality across devices.
The platform successfully established a secure and verifiable system for journalism. Journalists could authenticate their identity within seconds, and every published article had an immutable blockchain seal. The gas-free model simplified blockchain interactions, and cross-platform compatibility ensured accessibility. This innovation set a new benchmark for secure, blockchain-driven verification in digital media.
