The Story

The client partnered with FiftyFive Technologies to build a Smart Waste Management System addressing inefficiencies in urban waste collection. Through the Team Extension model, FiftyFive deployed a Data Engineer and Business Analyst to design, develop, and integrate a custom data engineering solution. The system leveraged AI, IoT, and real-time processing to classify waste on streets, notify authorities, and optimize collection routes. Challenges

• 4. Integrated MariaDB for structured data storage with waste type, location, and timestamp metadata.

• 5. Delivered solution via Team Extension model, combining Business Analyst (requirements/use cases) and Data Engineer (model training, system integration, database deployment).
